About event
Sasquatch comes from the word sásq’et in Halkomelem, the language of the Sts’ailes nation, meaning hairy man. This word is also used by Canadians, in colloquial language, to refer to what Americans call Bigfoot - a mythical creature living in the mountainous regions of North America. The most common terms used to describe Sasquatch are: large, tall, giant, huge, strange, unidentified, humanoid, simian-like, and always hairy.
