From the hypnotic 2001: A Space Odyssey to the daring Eyes Wide Shut, passing through the unsettling The Shining, Stanley Kubrick's films give a prominent place to music, especially that of the great Hungarian composer György Ligeti. Several works of the composer are indeed present in the director's cinematography.
