Rachmaninov's pianistic virtuosity was legendary and it shines particularly in his Concerto no 3, with which Marie-Ange Nguci, a rising star in the piano world, will make her debut with the OSM. Drawing inspiration from Irish, Scottish, and English folklores, Beach pays homage to the diversity of American cultures in her Gaelic symphony. With this work of shimmering orchestral colors, Beach establishes herself as a prominent composer.
