Veteran of the UK grime scene, Skepta is one of the most recognized figures in British hip-hop internationally. As an MC, producer, and owner of his own label, he played a key role in the transition of grime from underground to the pop charts in the 2000s, partly due to the success of his collective Boy Better Know, as well as its resurgence in the mid-2010s.
