Melanie Demers combines theater, dance, and engaged speech! By cleverly subverting representations of everyday racism that are well present in popular imagination, the performers reclaim emblematic scenes from theater, cinema, and television ranging from Shakespeare's Othello to the monologues in Spike Lee's films.
