About event

The seeds of this work were planted when Basel Zaraa's five-year-old daughter asked him questions about the land where he was born. Unable to take her there, he created a model of his childhood home located in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk in Damascus. Through a family story, Dear Laila conveys the Palestinian experience of displacement and resistance.
