Paul, a accomplished cartoonist, lives alone with his dog Biscuit in his house in Ahuntsic. He has just turned fifty, and everything around him is falling apart: his wife has left, his mother has cancer, his daughter wants to move to London. Even his apple tree is sick! Paul knows that time has caught up with him. But this journey through the desert, not without self-mockery, has a therapeutic effect, and gradually, Paul learns to let go and tame his new life.
