Paris, 1988. Ute Lemper and Marlene Dietrich have a three-hour phone conversation, far from ordinary. The show Rendez-vous avec Marlene is based on this exchange between two artists, one at the beginning of her career, the other at its twilight. The young Ute, already being compared to the great Dietrich, has just won a Molière award for her performance in Cabaret.
