Tom Waits' universe opens up like an apple under a sharp knife when a busy orchestra of multi-instrumentalists plays with his compositions on found objects and invented instruments that come to life in the midst of living pictures. The musicians play in front of each other, on top of each other, exchange voices, put their feet in their mouths, throw a wrench in the works, have a rope around their necks...
