Architects is a metalcore/mathcore/alternative metal band from Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom, formed in 2004 by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. With a strong influence from Dillinger Escape Plan, their initial sound was brutal, chaotic, and complex. Joined by Tim Hillier-Brook, Tim Lucas, and Matt Johnson, the band quickly evolved towards a more melodic and powerful sound. With energetic and intense live performances, Architects have become a prominent figure in the metal scene.
