Pianist and composer Kate Wyatt is one of the top jazz musicians in Montreal, and her first album, Artifact, provides a compelling glimpse into the many facets of her musicality. The album consists of a masterful and meditative suite of her original compositions, as well as a beautiful standard by Billy Strayhorn. The musicians on the album are all remarkable, but the groups dynamic reflects the deep camaraderie among its members.
