In the mid-1970s, Kraftwerk gained international recognition for their revolutionary electronic soundscapes. Their compositions, using innovative techniques, synthetic voices, and computerized rhythms, had a major international influence on a wide range of musical genres: from electro to hip-hop, and from techno to synthpop.
