Ravel's Basque maternal heritage had a decisive influence on his life and work. Therefore, Alexandre Da Costa and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec chose to surround the famous Bolero and the luminous Alborada del gracioso with a repertoire that gives a prominent place to Basque culture and its ramifications. Audiences will have the opportunity to discover the txistu, a traditional Basque flute traditionally played alongside a small drum by the talented soloist Garikoitz Mendizabal.
