About event
This exhibition highlights the fascinating history of a unique urban development project in Viauville, a neighborhood in the former city of Maisonneuve, now Montreal, at the turn of the 20th century. After accumulating a considerable capital, Charles-Théodore Viau, a visionary industrialist and founder in 1867 of the famous Viau & Frère Biscuit Factory, invested in real estate and envisioned the creation of a model residential city, Viauville, on the banks of the river.
