Takumi and his daughter Hana, who live in the village of Mizubiki near Tokyo, enjoy exploring the forest, identifying the fauna and flora, and taking the pulse of their environment. This is also where the village gets its drinking water. When developers want to transform the area into a luxury camping site, where city dwellers can come and enjoy nature, the ecological balance and the quality of life of the villagers are greatly threatened.
