Accomplished pianist and fervent defender of Quebecois culture, André Gagnon has always strived to bridge the gap between classical and popular music. Neiges is a brilliant example of this, with his Dédéthoven inspired by Beethoven, his Chanson pour Renée Claude, and his Petit concerto for Carignan and orchestra, dedicated to the best fiddler in Quebec, Jean Carignan. Choral works complete the program, immersing us in the festive atmosphere with enthusiasm and a hint of nostalgia.
