About event
Kukum tells an extremely touching story, that of the authors great-grandmother, Almanda Siméon, a white woman who discovers life in the forest by marrying the love of her life, Thomas, an Innu from Mashteuiatsh. Dominique Pétin, of Indigenous origin, takes the viewer by the hand and leads them into the woods with Almanda and Thomas, and her voice echoes the dreams of the characters, but also all their disillusionments.
